Wow it has been an awesome long time since I have written, but given that I actually have a few minutes to breathe between classes, I decided to take advantage of this opportunity to write.  Things have been ABSOLUTELY insane these past few weeks due to the whole moving situation.  This morning I moved out of my apartment, came to school, I am going to go vacuum some after my next class, and head over to the trailer to unpack.  I passed my plumbing and electrical inspections this week, which is defnitely a breathe of fresh air.  It is so nice to pass something for a change.

Eric's family has been beyond amazing.  They have graciously opened up their home for me to work and study.  My computer received a number of viruses last week and then Saturday I received a phone call from the fraud department at my credit card company to be notified that my credit card number had been used in MONGOLIA.  That is right!  Completely out of my perimeters.  Needless to say, they are sending me a new account number and continuing the investigation.  I found this ironic because I haven't been using my credit card because I want to get out of debt, and someone else starts to use it.  That is so weird.

That is weird now, but oh well.

That's it!

Well today I have had just as much excitement as one person can handle. I will have to back track though until last night to paint the appropriate picture. Last night Eric wasn't feeling well so I took him to the ER at Wesley Long and met his mother there. It was entertaining because I always enjoy spending time with any of the Poe's and later after 3 hours of silly chit chat, we confurred the suspicions that Eric does indeed have strep throat. So after taking care of him and getting his prescriptions straight, it very quickly became a late evening. The good part was that I sill got ot spend some time with Eric.

Today I decided to get up early and go ahead and finish my homework so I could deliver the next load of things to my trailer (that were loaded for the previous day). I got there fine and it all was unloaded in a beautiful amount of time. When I was leaving for my 11:00 at 10:00A, I pulled forward about a foot and discovered that I had a VERY flat front tire. So I called Eric and he tried to talk me through it with no success. He came over and we still made no progress. Then a neighbor pitched in and we were able to remove 3 out of the 4 lugnuts. At noon Eric's dad Jim came over and he too had no success with this dreaded tire. Frustration mounted, and at that very moment, my inspector came over to look at the foundation of my trailer. I didn't pass, but that was no surprise because we have not put the tie downs on the mobile home yet. He gave me some basic information and left, but as his truck left, Mr. Monroe, my landlord, rolled up. So I spoke with him a few minutes and received some more instructions. After he left, I finally had an opportunity to receive an update on the tire. Jim put enough air in it for me to make it to an auto place and we flew off. Eric drove me to school and that brings me to the current moment where I am sitting in the library with my cell phone on vibrate, and no car and no car keys in the nearby environment.

I am understandably exhausted at this point and I am ready to roll home. I can only pray things calm down more. At 2:00P, my friend Lauren is being baptized in the UNCG fountain. I wish I could go but I have a lab that is unavoidable to miss. Tonight our two smal groups are coming together for our first community group fellowship and I hope it goes well.

As for closing thoughts, I am so thankful for faithful friends. Jim didn't have to take off work and Eric didn't have to roll out of bed as sick as he was. I am amazed and thankful for those around me willing to share their time.

Now I must head off to my next class in which I will commence research for my first real research project in my communication theory class. Hopefully it won't be too horrible. I think I am going to write it on dialectual tension in relationships.

Down to Earth

Well the weekend has finally wound down.  All day Saturday and Sunday I was with Dad at the trailer.  He stayed here and we dug holes and placed concrete blocks underneath the trailer to create the foundation. Saturday Jim and Eric stayed to help and on Sunday, we had an addition, Andy.  They were absolutely a blessing and none of this could have happened without them.  It was VERY hard work.  I was using this ax/pick thing that they called a matic and I definitely represented the women of the world very well.  Monday Dad worked on it most of the day by himself, but after another long days work, I am proud to say I can now walk inside my trailer.  The foundation is laid and now I can go inside, and more specifically, I can start moving in.  That is very exciting to me and I am glad that this all is starting to roll.  I am going to go back over today to clean some more.  It is so crazy to start to see things come together.  Now if I only had electricity we'd be in business, oh well.  I think I am going to start to move my closet today though.  I enjoy moving stuff and it just is fun for me to see things come together.  I may even end up buying a shelf for my closet so I can stack stuff it in.

Eric's 6 year old cousin, Bailey, came over yesterday for many hours to wait until it was safe that we could walk it.  I laughed when he told his grandmother that he will come home when he's ready.  Haha.  He was helpful though.  He helped me clean up some and put some stuff away.  It was even funnier when he started playing in the back room.  I said, "Bailey, what are you doing buddy?" and he replies, "You said this is the play room, so I am playing in it."  It was so cute.  He told me he is going to bring some toys over too.  What a kid.  I love it.

Well there isn't much else.  I want to post some pictures soon enough so Eric and I may pull out the camera today.  We will see though.  I need to get some more homework done though.  Adios for now!

In His Service,

Emily

So this is the funniest email I've ever received...

Tech Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 ...and noticed a distinct slowdown in the overall performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.   In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable programs such as AFL 5.0, NRL 4.3, PGA 3.0, and NBA 3.6. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, to no avail. What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate

Dear Desperate,
First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an Operating System. Try to enter the command: C:/ITHOUGHTYOULOVEDME to download Tears 6.2, which should automatically install Guilt 3.0. If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. BUT remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1. WARNING: Beer 6.1 is a very nasty program that will create Snoring Loudly. CAUTION: Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.  In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck,
Tech Support

What a crazy day.  Classes went...uh...they went.  Then I went to Eric's house a while to do some laundry.  It is nice to save money in some form.  Then we had our first bible study.  It was AWESOME and I am so pumped about this coming year.  The girls are really ready to get deep, which is very exciting to me.

Eric came over before work and we had a great time.  We've decided to start reading books together.  We feel that doing a quiet time together is too much right now as far as being intimate before the Lord with each other and we still want to keep our individual quiet times, but we are very interested in what each other thinks when it comes to spiritual matters so we are reading books.  We do still plan on praying together for our friends around us and our relationship so that we can continue to grow closer to God, and in return, each other.  Our first book we are reading is Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala.  It is also cool because he is the pastor of Brooklyn Tabernacle in NY and I got to visit there last Fall with teaching fellows.  It seems like a cool book.

I am just so excited because I am starting to find my support network again.  I just need to know that I have a force behind me rooting for me to succeed.  I am finally hearing God amidst the chaos and I am glad.  "Blessed is the one who finds wisdom," Proverbs 3:13.
